hey ya'll wow i'm super bad at this blog thing. i REALLY need to update it! in due time, i promise!
we have moved to west kaysville, brandon has a new job, briggs just turned one, and i have been put into young womens. there a quick update. i'll post pictures and such sooner then later!

Hey ya'll okay so here I am making a quick update.
besides my new "other" blog (marenand1100calories.blogspot.com) here's what's new with us:
*we moved from Bountiful to West Kaysville
*Briggs is now 7 months old, Super happy and healthy
*Payton is starting preschool in about a week or so. He's 4 now. He rides a 2-wheeler by himself
*Lexi starts tumbling and dance in sept. she's 3 on aug. 23rd
*Brandon works for his good friend doing bankruptcy cases and taxes (Carr & Pew Law)
*I start working for Davis school district being a teachers aid on fridays for a few hours on fridays @ farmington elemantry
*We spent 8 amazing days at our cabin in Island Park Idaho in June
*We are about to celebrate our 5th ann. in Sept.
*We're all alive, happy, and super blessed!

Well that's the update, sorry not much detail. I added a few picts to show how our summers been. busy and full of adventure! love you all and i'll try and do better posting.

today was such a beautiful hot sunny day! we decided to go in our awesome backyard and pull devil weeds. The kids loved being out in the sun for hours. while I pricked and cut myself with super giant thorny trees the kids ran, played on the swing, and played in the dirt! They had so much fun getting stinky. I worked extra hard on trying to get our poor overgrown backyard ready for this spring and summer BBQs and just plain backyard adventureous fun! We spend hours sometimes all day back there swimming and running around. I brought Briggs out there for his first time. He loved just sittin' in his swing and laying in the warmth of the sun. I tried putting a hat on him, but his poor little head was too small to even fit a 0-3 month hat. (He didn't get the Metcalfe head like my other 2 kiddies) It was still super cute though. I couldn't help but take tons of pictures of him! I also got a few others of payt and lexi. we were so happy to have a beautiful spring day to take advantage of!

for my birthday most of my family was out of town so we were able to celebrate it on thursday, friday, saturday and sunday. we had pizza with chris, cassie, and conner thursday, friday we went to iggy's sports grill with brandon's parents and Madi, and saturday my mom came to my step class with me, then took me to get a nice relaxing pedicure, later we went to a delicous place called archibalds for dinner at gardner village! we shopped and looked at giant pigs and cute little animals. my mom, sister-in-law (megan), brother (tyson) and 2 nephews came with us. we had so much fun (thanks guys for coming) then on sunday my mom made me a super fabulous dinner and delightful birthday cake. it was just me, mom, payton, lexi, and briggs.(dad in hawaii and brandon in detroit). my two kids sang all by themselves for me! it was so sweet. and then today (monday (my actual birthday))my BFF Sigrid came over with yummy lunch and I went and got a 2 hour massage and went swimming with lexi and patyon and my other BFF Beth, her 3 kids and her husband ken. Brandon sent me my favorite flowers for my birthday morning suprise. they are so beautiful!!! thanks babe. i can't thank everyone enough for a fabulous birthday! thanks guys my big 25 couldn't be any better! love ya'll.

yes a bit late but here are some pics of our fun GREEN day! Yes my favorite holiday is st. patty's day so we really take it to the extreme. Green food all day long, and if it's not green we put food coloring in it. so green poopies for the next few days. ((TMI)too much information?) we really have had fun keeping up the green tradition sense we've been married. I know it was a weird adjustment for Brandon, but seriously who doesn't love the 17th of March!? We had our best friends over for dinner and then we had siggy come over too!& you can't come over to our house without playing games!!! we later had 2 of our nephews and one niece come over to play. thanks guys for eating green just for me!

JUST WANTED ADD SOME BEAUTY TO MY STRUGGLE

okay so not to be totally depressing right now, i just needed to vent for a sec on bodies. well this last week i really worked hard at exercising and did great totally lost 1\2 inch on each of my arms, and almost a whole inch on my thighs. so ya that is totally rockin' dope, but then it comes down to the eating. blah!!! really that stinks i have such a bad strength when it comes to making good eating choices. oh man why does food have to be so fabulously delicous?! oh stink, it is super hard for me. i just wish that everything was bland and yucky, but NO it has to be scrumpcious and sugary. okay so really like i have said before "in my world everyone will eat rainbows and poop butterflies" then we won't stuggle with the food dilema. super!!! really i'm super in love with my step class and I LOVE TO EXERCISE but man it doesn't pay off when i eat like an elephant who loves food. so that comes back to body image. who's the one to decide what we should look like? i mean i'm all for being healthy. well darn it all, i'm stumped with my struggle. any ideas? now i'll step off my soap box and go back to being good ole happy me! holla ya'll!!!

Great news we are NOT moving to Denver anymore, bad news Brandon lost his job. but on the up side of that no more traveling every week and yes he did get a new job. same thing just located here at home not another state. and we are glad our prayers were answered and we know we are blessed. so i guess it all worked out for the best. staying close to our family and friends and still making some money$$$. so can't complain. we're gonna be okay! love ya'll ;0)

hey just wanted to add a few pics i missed from the holidays. we spent new years eve at my sister in laws house in provo. the boys played x-box all night the kids were crazy and ran around and the girls played skipbo the best card game ever! and sad to say kiersten was the best all time player of 2008, we played one last game before midnight to see whoever won, and she did so she was named best player of 2008, but i have this year!

today was such a beautiful day we had to take advantage and go outside! Briggs was so cozy and loved being in the fresh air and sunlight.

hey everyone sorry it has been SO LONG sense i last updated. as you might already know i have been super busy with our new little angel Briggs. he was born only 5 days ago and has changed so much. he just gets cuter and cuter every day. i was really hurting in pain for the last 2 months and so i would do things and get super tired and hurt and not want to do anything. that is my reasoning for not updating. i know simple, get on the computer, but really i was too lazy to even do that. we did have a fabulous Christmas and new years and can't complain about any of it. I did have to go to the hospital Christmas night but it all was good and i was sent home on morphine. yes a fun and spacey evening. ;0) on Christmas eve we did the Hayes family tradition and went to classic skating and roller skated and played on the big blow up toys. that was so much fun for the kids and for us. Santa even stopped by! Payton roller skated for his very first time and did great. and I being just about 9 months prego did the HOKI POKI with the whole family! it was so great and very embarrassing but fun. we also did a Metcalfe family picture of all the grand kids. Crazy, try getting 16 kids to all smile and behave at the same time. hmmm... impossible. but it sure was neat to see all the kids together. (Briggs made 17) 12 of the grand kids are all under the age of 3! and we have at least one more on the way that we know of. wow we have sure grown the family in the last 3 years!

well lets see what have we been doing sense last i wrote. the kids and I try to stay busy each day with Brandon gone we try and find fun things to do to keep us occupied. we have had snow ball fights, built forts under our table,played dress-ups, played make-up and just got the house ready for the new little guy. Lexi did get a few bumps and bruises. but all in all we had fun.

oh ya i also finally quit spankys after 9 years. it's official i am no longer an employee of my favorite and very first job. it is sad, but i made so many wonderful friends there.

i have felt like I've been a bum of a mom cuz of the stinkin' pain i had, so i tried to at least do one thing here and there to entertain the kids. other than that i was a lazy couch mommy. but i do have to tell you i have had so much love and support from my family and ward. wow how everyone pulled through. i can't thank everyone enough. the meals, the phone calls, just the love i have felt from all of you, thanks.

Today for our little playgroup we were able to go tour the Bountiful fire station. It was a fun little adventure. Payton and Lexi weren't too sure about it when we first got there but they soon warmed up to the whole idea! they sat in the HUGE fire truck and got cool little fire hats. We were so amazed at the hard work these people do for us. We learned that when they put on all their gear it weighs over 80 lbs. and it's like over 19 degrees hotter or something like that. We are so grateful for all they do for us the EMT's and Fire fighters are true heros! We are so happy they are there for us. They had to help payton when he was one. they came to our rescue after he stopped breathing and had a seizure. he road in the ambulance then and they got us to the hospital safely. That wasn't very fun at the time but today was a fun experience seeing the inside of the ambulance and fire trucks. We also saw an original 1919 fire truck, it still works and everything! after we were able to play at the park called fireman's park. It was a fun day. We love our playgroup!

my sweet little monkey GIRL Lexi. I emphasize GIRL because even with her flower and tutu people still called her a "cute little boy" come on i know she has a girl face, right?

Payton and Lexi were both monkies for Halloween, we let them choose and they both chose the same thing. Their cousins Emma and Avery came trick-or-treating with us and they were a princess and butterfly. we went around gami and gampi's new neighborhood in Kaysville.

Notice the dark hair? no it's not a wig (my dad thought it was) i really am dark now. i decided to die my hair Halloween and not just for the holiday. i still look in the mirror and have to take a second look cuz i'm not use to that person in the mirror.

oh man i look like a pumpkin! only a bit more to go until little baby boy is born! i can't wait!

today after church we walked out and i though hmmm. what a perfect (tiny bit hot) fall day! let's take pictures. so we went up to muller park canyon and a darling building by our house and took some fun family fall pictures. (literally fall) after all our fun lexi took a spill and landed in the tire rim. ouch and funny thing i didn't even mean to take this picture! she was all black from the grease, but all is well now.

Sense we just got back from super hot 94 degree weather in california i had to take pictures of the very next day we got back. SNOW! so here are a couple pictures of the kids in the first snow fall of this season. lexi was scared she didn't know what to think.

we just got back from an amazing trip to newport coast, California. we were there for 8 days. we stay in the Marriot resort just right off the ocean. I need to thank Brandon's parents for the opportunity to stay with them every 6 months in their time share. without them we wouldn't get to do our fun cali trips that often. Next i have to thank my mom for the 4 airplane tickets. we were so lucky to be able to fly for free, and not have to drive the 10 hours. (didn't sound fun being prego) plus any chance payton and lexi can fly on gami's airplanes we'll take 'em! they love to fly. and last but of course not least i need to thank my brothers brock and tyson, and sister megan for sharing time with us to make our cali trip even better,and jon and jin we miss seeing all you guys! we were able to go and visit tyson and megan and their kids aiden and liam at their house and eat a very very DELISOUS cake megan made! then they invited us for a fun cali beach bon-fire! thanks so much everyone for everything what an amazing and relaxing trip!

we were able to go to disneyland for the whole day and california adventure. what a fun time that was. we were there from open to close and the kids enjoyed every minute of it! i was so tired by the time we got back to the condo, but it was worth every smile and laugh! oh and lexi didn't like the characters very much she was terrified, but minney was a good sport and hurry and got a picture with us even though lexi was screaming at the top of her lungs!

we also went to the beach 2 full days and went boogie boarding and body surfing. and yes i did it too even though i'm giant pregnant! we built sand castles and barried uncle chris in the sand, we are a total beach family so any time the chance comes up for us to be beach bums we'll take it! one day we also went to Korea town in L.A. our sister in law is from Korea so we went there to enjoy a fabulous Korean BBQ. Yummy! if you've never had korean bbq you need to try it!

the rest of the time we just enjoyed each other's company and the pool. serious it was a much need vacation for all of us. and now were back in beautiful cold snowy utah. here are some pictures to help you get a small glimps of our trip. we sure are spoiled!

Football season...

It's for sure football season! Brandon coaches 2 of our nephew's little league football team. He loves getting back in the game. (as much as you can as a coach) it's so fun to watch him coach and seeing all the little guys looking up to him. My favorite part is hearing the funny stories and things the little boys say! oh man they are halarious! payton goes to every practice with brandon and just loves his football time with daddy. he even comes home doing the drills and chants the boys do at practice! oh and don't let me forget Lexi! is she ever a football girl. wow she would rather watch college football on saturday mornings with her daddy then watch cartoons. she loves going to games with him to and will follow brandon all over the feild. I'm not a super football fan, but i love watching the kids and their daddy.

four years ago today Brandon and I were married in the Salt lake city Temple. What an amazing day. it was so beautiful outside, in fact it was hotter than normal. It was close to 90 degrees. The sky was a perfect deep blue not a cloud in sight. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! Now looking back on that special day so much has happened, we now have 2 beautiful kids and one other on the way. We've lived in 6 different homes and now are settled (for a minute) in one of our favorite homes. We have just been so blessed with so much, and thankfuly the blessings keep coming. We must be doing something right. :0) I am so happy Brandon is so amazing and helps me so much, without him i'd be a wreck . He is an amazing dad, husband, and friend. Yes we have had our ups and downs but i wouldn't change a thing and wouldn't want to spend my life with any other man. Thanks my hunka hunka burnin' love! you are my best friend and eternal companion, i love you. thanks for letting me tease you and play jokes on you your a good sport! it's all out of love baby! nothing but pure love!

on another note i still have lots of fun pictures to upload of payton's first day of pre-school, and other fun events i just haven't had a moment to upload the pics, so i promise i'll update everything a.s.a.p thanks!

Okay i just have to write about my favorite reality show Wipe Out. it's on abc on tuesday nights. i love this show. it is a crack up. and yes one day i hope to be on it! i would love to be on the show i totally could win $50,000. come baby i got the guts! really if you haven't watched it before check it out for a good laugh. and maybe just maybe one day i'll be the next wipe out star! (after the baby comes of course)

Lexi's Birthday

Saturday the 23rd of August was lexi's 2nd birthday!!! we really celebrated it all month but we had our own little party for her at the Myan with just our family and Ezra brandon's cousin from new zealand joined us too! it was fun to watch the divers and see the kids and Ezra's reaction. we had front row! she got shoes shoes shoe!s! lexi loves shoes so we gave her lots of play shoes and Gampi and Gami gave her a 2 pair of play shoes and a dress up dress. it was a fun birthday! she also really wanted trucks, so we got her a couple harley motorcycles. funny girl, trucks and shoes! Happy Birthday Lexi we love you so much. (notice payton loved her shoes too)

Jack Johnson

For Brandon's birthday way back in May I gave him tickets to Jack Johnson. We were able to go last monday the 18th of August. What a fun date. It was so fun to just sit and people watch. People are so funny, they were either drunk, high, or just totally off the wall in love! I had to take pictures of some of the lovey dovey couples right next to us. We also got a few shirts for our little family. It's funny how much we missed the kids, but for sure it wasn't a place for them. We love you Jack, but your fans are halarious! This was the first concert i've been to that the whole thing was sold out, or 25,000 fans! crazy not a spot left open. we were all very cozy. I have a few picts of the concert and the kids when they got their shirts, they loved them! oh and noctice how giant i am getting! i'm so already getting uncomfortable.

Island Park, Idaho

hey ya'll just updating on our summer trips. We are so lucky to have a cabin up in Island Park, Idaho. we are able to go up about every three weeks. this last time we went up with Brandon's family and stayed up there a week. we had so much fun, boating, swimming, fourwheeling, fishing, and going to West Yellowstone. Payton caught his very first fish ever all by himself! I surfed behind the boat with out a rope (yes i still surf and wakeboard being pregnant!) and we just had lots of fun relaxing and being goofey! Here are a few pictures for your pleasure to give you an idea of what we did. We also had the pleasure of having Brandon's cousin from New Zealand stay with us for the trip. (he's the one with "orange" hair) that's at least what he calls it. it was so fun to learn more about where Brandon's family is from and we all loved hearing his accent. thanks Ezra for keeping us entertained!

hey everybody!!! we found out on monday what we are going to be having. i really wanted to wait until the baby. But my sweet Brandon couldn't wait to know, and neither could any of my friends. so i caved and found out. we are lucky enough to have another wonderful baby BOY! yeah we are so excited and happy. we would be happy either way but i think brandon's really happy cuz we are building up that football team!

My Bro. brock was in town from california so we took him, his friend kevin, and 3 of payt and lexi's cousins. we surfed, wakeboarded, and swam all day. what a fun time. We are so blessed to be able to take our boat out and enjoy nature and all the fun lakes around us whenever we want!

so today me and the little ones were playing outside just riding bikes and laughing. Well i had to run inside to grap something. I came back out and a creepy white van with NO windows pulled up and was watching my kids. it totally freaked me out. Well i kept my eyes on the van pumped up the tire on my jogger stoller got the kids in and went on a walk. As we were walking the van started to kind of follow us, finally he turned on the corner that we were turning on, so i stopped and watched him pull up and park next to a curb were a little boy was playing by himself and the smart little boy looked at him and ran inside. I was on the phone with my mom and she told me to get the license plate #, which i am blind as a bat with being prego. so unfortunately i couldn't get the plate# so i started to try and get closer and i think he noticed i was on the phone and sped away. Totally scary huh! well me and my smart thinking we got home pretty fast after that, and the mailman happened to be dropping off mail so i told him to keep his eye out for the creepy white van with NO windows!!! so i hope he saw him and got the plate #. just goes to show how much scarier the world is becoming. Dang creepy people leave our kids alone!!!

hey everyone it's fun to see that people actually are reading my blog. i am still learning so much on how to use this program so like i said before this is gonna be kinda boring until i figure how to use it better. if anyone has suggestions to make it better and how to update it with fun stuff and how to link up to other blogs that would be nice. thanks guys!!!
Oh ya Payton road his big boy bike over a mile today!!! we are so proud of him. he was so excited to do it too. we also bought his first helmet for his bike i have pictures but still havn't gotten them on my compt. so i'll work on that!

first timer

this is totally new for me and my family, but i figure everyone else does it to keep up on each other so what the heck.
i hope this all comes out the right way!
We are doing super great. payton is 3 years old now and lexi will turn 2 in aug. kinda crazy. they are just growing up so fast. we are expecting another little bundle of joy in january (praying the end of dec.)
Brandon is still doing the J.K. Harris tax job. he is still traveling to Denver and loving it. (i hope)
I am thinking of going to apply for a job a this darling baby store here in Bountiful. Sassy Babies.
I mean with soon to be 3 kids any extra $$$ and a discount on baby stuff how cool would that be!
I for sure am going back to Spankys when school starts. I just needed the summer off to play and swim and go boating with my fam.
Hmmm... not really sure what else is new or anything exciting going on.
oh i do have to say check out my friends blog she went on this awful date with a loser from centervill. I don't think she'll ever date again after him! okay kidding about that part but it's pretty funny. siggypoo.blogspot.com check it out for a good laugh.
